Good morning, my friends. Before I say anything else, I should say that I'm feeling significantly better today. Most of yesterday morning was spent at urgent care. I like that they have a section on their website that allows you to insert yourself into the line before you leave home. There was no one in the waiting room when I arrived, and so it didn't matter, but it's still a nice feature. They gave me a second nebulizer treatment while I was there, and they sent me home with a portable nebulizer machine so that I can ...

Good morning, my friends. Following through on my promise to sew my guts out yesterday, I did exactly that. Early, I hoed the garden. Everything is looking good out there, happily. I uncovered the zucchini and the cucumbers. They had wire baskets over them to protect them from gnawing critters. I think they've grown large enough to stand on their own now. After that, I needed to put away the laundry from the day before. And then...all sewing, all the time.

There was more packing the next day, then driving, then camping, then enjoying the stars while coughing nearly to death, then more driving, then several hours in the emergency department, then unpacking, then surgery, then post-op visits, then (and this was the good part) dinner last night with Erik and Mae. It was a mix of good and bad, and it was a full week ...

Good afternoon, my friends. I'm slow on the switch this morning, but I have a good excuse. A whole lot of water has passed under the bridge in the last 24 hours. Mike had his second cataract surgery yesterday afternoon. We got lunch afterward. Then this morning we were up at the butt crack of dawn to see the doctor for his post-op appointment. We got breakfast afterward. I started a load of clothes before we left home this morning, and the last load is washing as I'm writing. There are a couple of easy housekeeping chores on ...

Good morning, my friends. I'm writing fast again this morning. There have been too many write-fast mornings lately if you want to know the truth. Today I'm writing fast because Mike is having his second cataract surgery today, and I'm the driver. Poor guy can't eat anything until after his noon surgery. We'll get some lunch afterward. Fortunately, these surgeries don't lay the patient low afterward, but he's still not cleared to drive until after his follow-up appointment tomorrow. Tomorrow's appointment is earlier, and so I'll probably write tomorrow's post ...

Good morning, my friends. It was another rainy day yesterday...good sewing weather. I had a lot on my day's to-do list, and so I didn't get as much done in the sewing room as I'd hoped. Still, it was a good day all around. The weather is forecast to be cloudy today, but I think the rain might have moved on. We're expecting a hot weekend ahead with record-breaking temperatures. Good morning, my friends. It was a wet, wet day yesterday. We received over half an inch of rain at our place. It was a good day to attend the Titanic Artifacts exhibit going on at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). Matthew and I had originally planned a walk on one of the local trails, but the OMSI exhibit turned out to be a good substitute.

Good morning, my friends. I'm writing fast today because I need to leave in about two hours to meet up with Matthew. I'll tell you what we're doing in a minute, but I want to add that I'm also writing fast because not much happened here yesterday. My morning started as usual, taking the first stitches on Block 6 for "Home is Where My Flock Is." I neglected to take a picture before moving my hoop, and so some of the stitching is outside the hoop on the left.
